I worked there in the lower 2000's and it still had lots of luster. Was always busy as frick with a 2 hour wait

I blame the fat arse I use to work with, she would go in there all time. She would drink all the 99 cent margaritas her fat arse could handle.

A shame. TJ Ribs, in addition to Mike Anderson's, are the best restaurants BR has to offer.

The Siegen location is very well run and managed. Acadian, not so much.

Well, it didn't open until the mid-90s, so I'm not sure if this is a clever joke or an ill-informed opinion. Regardless, I worked there from '97-'00, and we still had an hour+ wait on weeknights when I left. It wasn't really until all of the Las Palmas', Casa Marias, etc. started opening up when Ninfas' business took a hit.

I've got friends at the siegen one. Its infinitely better than the original.

That being said I went in this past weekend for a drink. They apparently brought back the dollar margaritas... There goes the neighborhood

they must really have some bad arse shite going on in the kitchen to get shut down

It doesn't take all that much. I worked at a chain restaurant that a friend managed back home during my breaks in college. The place was pretty clean. They shut down the bar area once until they could get the leak in the sink fixed or something small like that, because that was against code and could get a citation from the health inspector.

I worked at another place for a while in BR. It was disgusting in the back. Trash all over the floor, dishes piled to the ceiling, etc.. It was never anything I really thought was serious and would get a customer sick, but overall it was gross. I have no doubt that if the same inspectors who inspected the chain restaurant I worked at back home saw it, it would get shut down until it was fixed.
