Does Rare even leave Chicago? It has been a few years since we had a release of Rare and I honestly don't know.

The most relevant part of that post:

The entire Bourbon County line is being upgraded to these new, great looking bottles

Rare was aged in barrels from Heaven Hill Distilleries that held bourbon for more than 30 years. Those barrels were filled with Bourbon County Stout and aged for 2 additional years before being bottled.

Oh, my. That sounds mighty fine. Who wants to wait in line for me?

I would much rather 12oz 4 packs over fancy looking bottles.

The old 12- and 22-ounce bottles (as well as four-packs) have been scrapped in favor of a uniform 16.9-ounce format across the board.

BCBS - 4 pack (so I assume 12 oz. bottles)
BCBS - 12 oz. 4 packs
BCBBW - 12 oz
Prop - bombers
Rare - 16.9 oz bottles
Regal Rye - 16.9 oz bottles

It's all on their website

But maybe the website is wrong

This sucks...

If you want to ditch the bombers for fancy 500ml bottles I guess I'm ok with that, but I enjoy picking up a 4 pack of BCBS every year, drinking one and aging the rest.
