For the gas alone it's worth it. Their gas is at least $0.10 cheaper than anywhere else. Assuming your car gets 20 mpg, you only need to drive 11,000 miles per year to save the fee just on gas. That's nothing if you have 2 cars in your household.

thanks. I do a lot of my tailgate shopping at Sam's. But, most times it's not an enjoyable experience.

It's great for a lot of things. I saved $70 by ordering my business checks from them.

I saved $500 on booking travel through them (they had free airfare for kids)

I got my tires for a great price (but note the people in the tire department suck arse and I don't recommend them)

Food wise they have great deals. I got a patio set from there too and a workbench for the garage.

Everything is really good quality and to me it's like Target to Sam's Walmart.

Their travel packages seem like a great bargain and they include flights within the price for a lot of the destinations. Out of sheer curiosity, I looked at some of the prices for Playa del Carmen and for 2 people to go for 6 days is $1600 at a 4 star resort...plane, transportation to and from the airport, basically everything is included in that price. You could easily book a honeymoon, an adults only trip, or a family trip through them and save a lot of money.

we are going to Playa next year through costco. You have to call if the trip is more than 6 months out.

Overall, I feel like they lack quite a bit. The $2000 bottles of scotch seem gimmicky when you can't find something like bread crumbs to go with the four pack artichokes.

IMO, Costco is better than Sam's, but I was hoping for more selection and more of the high end goods it seems everyone raves about. Do other markets have better stores?

Finally made it to costco yesterday. The place itself and the employees are much nicer than Sam's. But, that may be because it's still really new.

For the stuff i normally get at Sam's, which admittedly isn't a lot. Costco's prices are higher.

crab meat, babybacks pork loins , aluminum foil were all higher although only by a few dollars.which i'd gladly pay for the nicer experience.

Was told by a friend a month or so ago that costco carried tri-tips. When i asked the butcher he said they did but they stopped. the only ones they had were prepackaged,pre-marinated.

all in all it's a nice place gas was $3.27 which is around .15 lower than most places.

can't use you costco card to pay for stuff which is different than sam's. They only accept amex or debit cards.
