Anyone ever been? I'm going tomorrow with some people who rave about it. I seem to remember seeing it on the Food Network or something a while back, but when I recently looked up reviews online, things weren't too pleasant.

Anyone here has first hand knowledge and can enlighten me?

Thanks.

Been several times. It's a nice place if you're looking for good food, good music and relaxation. there is no a/c, or anything. It's all open. But the staff are really friendly, and food is good and beer is cold. It's not meant to be fine dinning so to speak, but I enjoyed everythime i went

Call ahead and order for "pick up."

Then you get to walk right past the 50 person line, pick up your food and sit wherever you want.

You're welcome.

ETA: Potato salad is great.

I work in Pascagoula a lot and eat there all the time!...Brisket and ribs combo is good. Its a sweet BBQ sauce. Wanted to try and get a franchise here in Prairieville, but could not get it together.

My wife and I stopped on our way back from Destin last June, its pretty good. We got the sampler platter which came with Baby Back Ribs, Spare Ribs, Pork, Brisket, Chicken, Sausage served with 3 sides and 2 BBQ breads. It was about $25 with drinks for us to share that, which was more than we could eat. Overall not the best BBQ I've had, but pretty good, just a little sweeter than I prefer. The baked potato salad was awesome though. We will probably stop off there either going to or from Destin this year.

If you know how to BBQ and you have been to real BBQ places then you will be disapointed. I have been to the one in Gpt and OS and they are OK, but pales in comparison to Tay's BBQ in Pascagoula. Tay's is much better.

The servers are great and friendly and the beer is good. Southern Pecan, a local brew, is pretty good.

Not terrible but overrated in my book. Too much sauce and missing a good deep smoke flavor that I prefer.

Had the ribs and potato salad when I was working out in that area. Thought it was pretty damn good.

It's some of the worst/most overrated BBQ I've had.

It's ok. Nothing special. They have a really good pasta salad or macaroni salad as a side. BBQ itself has never really impressed me though.

Good if you like alot of sauce but not that great if you like a good slow cooked dry rub rib or brisket.

although it isn't on the level of what you'll find in memphis or some of texas towns, i liked it. i prefer a sweet sauce.
go with the sampler platter. it will feed two.
their sides, especially the potato salad are outstanding. also prefer the beans. they're sweet too.
it was a economical idea by the guy & gal that own it. many eateries spend money on making their business comfortable & visually appealing to the customer.
not this place. i doubt they paid for anything other than what's in the kitchen. the tables and chairs look like they were all picked up off the side of the road. i think they even raided a school that closed because there are loads of old school desks and a sign out front.
reminds me of fred sanford's junkyard.
it's definately worth trying.
