"Did you get the fresh wasabi?"

I always do. I find myself wanting to drink that stuff.

I usually go to Samurai on 49 in Gulfport if I want sushi. Those pics are from Nashville though.

This is Samurai.Yellowtail tarta.

Damn, I'm hungry.

No kidding.

I could have eaten a serious amount of sushi, but the gf and I had to run some errands after and I couldn't take the sodium coma that would ensue.

Yea the crab is a waste. The others are the shrimp, egg, and maybe the eel.

Agree on the krab. It's just...whatever though I do love the stuff but not at sushi prices.

Disagree on the eel and the egg. Love combining the two for one delicious bite.

I think Waka House on Sherwood has a crab roll where it's actually real crab meat. I've had it before and you would think it's an improvement over a krab roll, but there's something that works better with the krab, avocado, and cucumber.

I get tomago every time I order nigiri. Never tried it with the eel, you just stack two nigiris on top each other, or you just pull the egg off?

I usually do avocado, tomago, and inari as non meat nigiri.

It probably does taste good. I just couldn't order those items a la carte.

That dish from umami looks great

Some sushi restaurants actually have it on their menus under the sushi/sashimi list as eel with tomago.

For those that don't, I'll order both and then stack the piece of eel on top of the egg. It's a really delicious bite of salt, sweet, and fat.

It is, which is a bummer. Not sure how fake krab became synonymous with sushi in America.

I'm a bit of a sushi snob when it comes to imitation crab. Sushi is one of the purest forms of food, but so many places masquerade that processed white fish around. It would have been reason enough for me to not order that combo

The mad hatter roll and the bomb.com roll are two of my favorites at geisha. Neither are on the menu but both are really good! The geisha salad is also great.

I love sushi and would eat it everyday if it wasn't for cost.

That looks great.

I eat it all from the fresh uni to the fake crab stick. I could eat sushi once a day.

Are those raw fish rolls? If so, what is in them? I eat a geisha fairly often

Has anyone tried Yui Edomae Sushi in Las Vegas? It was opened by the former chef at Kabuto where I had some of the best sushi in my life.
