Had a good plate of nigiri style sushi at Geisha today after seeing Star Trek with mah BAE. I could probably eat it very day. Gaze upon its yumminess.

Looks good, but I'm not a huge fan of the roe sushi.

Is that imitation crab in the top right?

I assume it's a nigiri combo lunch. 3 things on there, maybe 4, are not worth ordering

It is, which is a bummer. Not sure how fake krab became synonymous with sushi in America.

Though I do love the snow crab* salad with avocado and apples from Sushi Yama

Was the dinner combo. No lunch menu on a weekend, which is lame of restaurants, but oh well.

Out of everything on the plate, the krab one isn't worth it, but all others were tasty. I like to take the eel and top the egg with it. The combo of sweet, salty, and fatty is awesome.

Yea the crab is a waste. The others are the shrimp, egg, and maybe the eel.

I like the taste of them but I would never order them outside of a plate like this

I agree with you on everything but the eel. I know it's garbage, but sometimes I'm in the mood for some fatty, unctuous eel.

Are you at Yama? Last place I had the fried shrimp heads. I could eat a dozen of those bad boys!

This was part of my lunch today at Umami: aji (horse mackerel). The entire thing is edible, including the fried head and bones (which taste like a fish-flavored cracker). I also had some West Coast uni. They had live uni but it was a little more than I wanted to spend.

A California roll is pretty much 99% of American's introduction to sushi....

LOVE sushi but dont eat it enough.

too expensive and i can eat way too much of it. i now have to eat a heavy protein shake before going so i dont go hungry, or else i will eat the whole restaurant. lol

went last year when work was paying and me and one other dude put down 13 rolls and some sushimi. it was like $300. lol
