The Lafayette location will be a hybrid Superior Bar/Grill and Superior Steakhouse..going to kill it with a killer location and surrounded by inferior Mexican food, Pizza joints and hamburger places. Only thing that will hurt Superior is that Chick-fil-A will be a block away....Joking of course! New sheriff's coming to town...they gunning for Ruth's, Lafonda's and Charlie G's!!! Like Total Wine coming in across from Albertson's....

I’d rather a chimes than Superior Grill.
Lafayette already has its version of Superior in LaFonda’s, only with more tradition.

I agree with that. Never said it was better than those two.
But LaFonda’s and Superior or basically the same category, average TexMex with great atmosphere and drinks to catch a nice buzz. The food is mainly a filler for alcohol.

Don’t worry. It’s coming. It was already bid once and went over budget. They’re doing some value engineering and GC’s are rebidding it. IIRC it’s supposed to be on the SE corner of Camellia and Kaliste.

LaFonda isn't going to lose one bit of business b/c of Superior. Chuy's/Superior are about the same thing, overpriced Tex-Mex food. The wait will be two hours for a while until people figure out it isn't much better than the other chains around here. Now let's go smash some rabbit with cheese sauce and super nacho at LaFonda.
***La Papa Loca has better food than both, but the atmosphere is what sells !

I think Agave is going to suffer more than La Fonda, though I could see us possibly heading to Superior if the wait at La Fonda is 2 hours like they’ve been quoting lately.
