Squeal on Oak

I'm pretty sure there was only one restaurant called "Squeal" in NOLA. I love how you NOLA people always feel obligated to tell us what street a particular business is located on, as if you live in this epic metropolis where many restaurants of the same name exist. You don't live in Manhattan, you live in NOLA.

Unless you are telling me a chain restaurant closed in the city, you really don't need to give the street name. Please give it a rest.

Not surprised. It wasn't good. I tried, but it just wasn't. It rode the word of mouth hype through people that had never gone. You know the kind I'm talking about...I'm going to say a place is great because I heard that it was, even though I've never been. The type of hype that causes places like Port of Call to be at the top of best burger lists.

People actually go to Port of Call. And before all the crafty burger places started popping up, they were definitely in the discussion for best in the city.

No, but I do think we should start a separate board for NOLA blowhards.

Seeing as the number of people who enjoy new orleans dining greatly outweighs the number of butthurt bitches with little brother syndrome (10000 to one) on here, maybe we should start a separate children's board for you to air your petty grievances

You have me figured out, man. I hate eating in New Orleans, and I'm especially jealous that I don't live there (makes a ton of logical sense).

Of all of the places on Earth that I could live, NOLA is clearly the best choice. That is, if I wanted to live among a bunch of pompous douchebags such as yourself.

Went to a beer tasting thing there a while back. Needed sustenance so had a pulled pork sandwich. Not terrible, but not really memorable. Seems like it'd be hard for a just mediocre bbq place to survive in Nola.
