Fast food or otherwise? Mine is the Superburger from Eat N' Park, a Pittsburgh-area chain...

The 4:00A.M. burger outside F&Ms in NOLA was a lifesaver.

A home cooked burger is really hard to beat. But the best from a non-residential setting?

Speaking of places which no longer exist, my #2 burger would be the "Big Kid" from Del Kid in Robinson, PA. One-pound burger with 8 slices of bacon, served with home fries and gravy. We nicknamed it the 'Spider Burger' because the bacon strips looked like legs hanging out the sides. Wish I had a pic.

Found out by accident that one of our better crawfish places has the best burger around.

The Superburger is actually a spinoff of the Big Boy. I think some of the original Big Boy owners split up and started their own places. Eat N' Park and Elby's were the two by where I grew up; I think Elby's went extinct about ten years ago. The Big Mac is a ripoff of the Big Boy. Both the Big Boy and the Superburger are far superior to a Big Mac, although I do like Big Macs also.

Louie's Cafe has a damned good burger ("Big Lou").

BTW...Ruby Tuesday's "prime" burger is actually pretty good.

Hi Hat burger is great. Luke Burger is another one, if one is so inclined to pay $17 for a burger. Lakeview Harbor is another good one.

Wowsers, a Big Mac by any other name would still taste like shite. Excuse me Mr. Shakespeare for the use of your language.
