What restaurants in Baton Rouge do you think could do WAY better if they moved to a different part of town and possibly upgraded their space? Location matters.

Here are mine:

Cocha
Nino's
Umami

Mason's Grill would kill it somewhere else and they do pretty good where they are at

What's wrong with the current spot? It's in a pretty heavily populated parking lot with Walk Ons and some other shops around it.

Downtown BR is just so meh so I agree.

Agreed. Can hardly see the sign when passing by.

My vote goes to Eliza. Place is so hidden.

I'm always amazed at the amount of vehicles at Mason's when I pass by there on a weekend. It's good, just the location is not in my wheelhouse.

Eliza's for sure. Had no idea that's where it was, as long as I had been hearing about it before we went.

Joe Delpit, owner of Chicken Shack, considered by many to be Baton Rouge’s longest running restaurant, received a permit late last week to begin construction on a new Highland Road restaurant.

Staring Ln. Popeyes. If it were adjacent to campus it would print money.

Anything downtown. Anything under the overpass. Anything on Government Street. Parking and access is an issue at most all these places.

And while I'm on the subject of Government Street, can I say I'm amazed at the stupidity of the road diet. What city has ever taken a 4 lane road and intentionally cut it down to a 2 lane road?? I was just driving down Government today at lunch time and I find it infuriating. I will never understand it.

Government street is meant for locals, North Blvd is meant for through traffic.

Sherwood Forest should do the same.

Maison Lacour..

Sherwood, Cedarcrest, Blvd De Province, Boardwalk, Old Hammond,etc..have seen better days.

And even in their prime, those corridors were never the Haute Cuisine Corridors of BR.
