Semolina's is owned by the same people who own Zea's and Mizado Cochina... It's the last of the Semolina's and it is still good..

I remember when the first one first opened where Mizado now is at I-10 and Metairie Rd. It was the hot spot in town and there used to be long waits for a table. That was fine because they had a nice bar with a frozen Belini machine that the girls used to love. It was a great date place. The last one left now is at the Clearview Mall. The food is still OK but it is a shadow of its former self.

I remember the original semolina location in Covington in the shopping center off Tyler Street.

Don't think it was the original one bro; but that was the first place I was legally employed, 16 year old cook that's not fast food

I'm curious how the business is doing. They aren't shy about closing locations (Semolinas and Zeas), so it must be doing fairly well.

Assuming they are doing well, I'm also curious if they'd see any success growing again considering a lot of the low/no carb fad diets (Atkins, South Beach, etc) have decreased in popularity. I suspect those diets in the early 2000s hurt business and contributed to closed locations.

I didn't know there was a location still open. I'd definitely eat there. Wish they'd reopen some of the old locations. I enjoyed it.

Actually ate there last week for dinner. It was pretty good and the Roban sauce was as good as I remember! I told our waiter we used to eat ar the one in BR pretty regular and he told us they are supposed to open one in Juban Crossing. Not sure if true but that's what he said.
