Taking a family vacation to San Antonio this summer, what are some good place to eat that we must check out?

Freetail Brewing serves good pizza and beers. They also did a sour collab with a Brieux Carre that you can drink at the source.

I was going to start this same thread as I'm headed there in two weeks for a conference.

You aren't providing much info as to what you are looking for, but Bliss is one of the best restaurants in SA.

may not be quite family friendly, depending on how old your kids are, but Feast was awesome when I went last year. while not cheap, my wife and I were blown away at how comparatively inexpensive it and other nice places were there compared to New Orleans or Houston. Battalion was good too. Esquire on the riverwalk was good for cocktails.

Dough

Great pizza.

And not your typical pizza either.

Dough
Rosarios
Chris Madrids- great burgers and nachos
La Fogata is good for atmosphere, but i like Rosarios better.

Stay away from Bill Miller BBQ and Mi Tiera.

Dough is legit. They shipped the pizza oven over from Italy, and dropped it in through the roof with a crane. They’re zeal for fresh ingredients goes so far that they imported and raise their own water buffaloes to make mozzarella!

Boudro’s - no it’s not Cajun.

Shilo - great German deli for breakfast or lunch.

Can vouch for all three of these. Boudro's is seriously delicious and probably the only place on the River Walk worth eating at. Dough is exceptional pizza and has some great specials. Shilo's is a good German deli that makes a great bowl of split pea soup.

I go here a lot because my family there love it and I do too. Get a jar of the candied jalapeños.

Well, I always enjoyed riding the trolly to the market, making a round to see how much the blankets and vanilla extract were going for, and slipping into Mi Tieras for some cabrito and air conditioning.

Depending on the ages of your kids, it can be a kick to get one of those giant 3 pound cinnamon rolls at Lulu's bakery & cafe.
