While it seems to be sold out in bottles around Baton Rouge, the Cove is tapping a keg of it tonight at 6. No I don't work there, I am just personally invested, not monetarily or anything, in having successful specialty kegs in Baton Rouge, so I wanted to come promote it.

People go completely mental for it here in Houston. This past weekend I was at Avenue Pub in New Orleans and found a bottle of DR10. I was shocked. I haven't come across a single place in Houston with DR12 still in stock.

I haven't found it in Dallas either although I've only looked at Central Market, Wholefoods and my local head shop that sells craft beer.

No prob. Though it had been 2 years, it seems like it had mellowed compared to last time I had it. At $6.50 I'd say that's a good deal especially since it's 10%+ abv. Remind me to bring you a couple of bombers in a couple of weeks, I meant to bring some this past weekend.

You could definitely feel the alcohol level, but it was rather smooth. Lent some credence to the idea of aging barley wines.

I've got 3 bombers and a 5 bottles of a 6-pack aging. Am i correct in saying that this is an altbier? Sure tasted like one.

I remember you asking that in a thread a couple weeks ago. I think it is more like an English strong ale rather than German style beer. I have Rahr & Sons Gravel Road in the fridge which is an altbier. Maybe I'll drink that side-by-side with the Divine 12 and compare.

Yeah, i believe it was the thread when they first came out.

Only reason i ask, is because i brewed an alt, and it's got the same characteristics as DR12. I have a full sail brewer's choice Alt in the fridge, been having for a while. Need to crack it open and give it a whirl.

I had it at W Alabama Ice House a few weeks ago, you might try there. Generally a fan of St Arnold's but did not get the massive hype on this. Wasn't bad or anything, just tasted like an average beer to me. Dunno.

I try to stay even keel through the week till at least Thursday so I don't get fat as shite and so I stay on schedule but I jumped the gun early last night and went out. Had a Karbach Barn Burner and a few DFH 60s at a place downtown (amongst other drinks).

I'm with you.

I'm usually on that course too until BMoney tempts me with his debbil ways and tricked me into drinking a lost abbey with him last night.
