Matt Sigur from Advocate tweeted that this location closed down 2 weeks ago. Never noticed that.

Anyone have any idea what's going in there next?

Was just tells my wife that I thought they had closed down. I feel like that location quit trying a while back. Hopefully something good replaces it. I live 2 blocks away and need a better option than Bistro Byronz to walk to.

It's always packed, that's why.

My wife will miss the rotolos on govt. She would crave their bbq chicken pizza every two weeks like clockwork.

I'm curious too. I hope it's new management. Everyone I've been to has been poorly run.

some coworkers and I went to that location for lunch one day and the doors were locked. An employee came out and said "we are not sure we will be open today guys".

Rotolo’s Pizzeria will anchor a $4 million Burbank Drive shopping center with a prototype restaurant designed to set the tone for the Baton Rouge-based chain over the next 20 years.

The 16,000-square-foot retail development, expected to open in February, is at the corner of Ben Hur Road and Burbank Drive. There are seven retail spaces in the development, two of which will have drive-through lanes.

The 4,500-square-foot Rotolo’s Pizzeria that will occupy the center space and is the chain's fourth location in Baton Rouge. New interior design and branding concepts will be tested and then applied at current and future locations.

The new features include an expanded bar, booth seating with private televisions, air-conditioned patio seating and dog-friendly amenities.

“We’re getting back to what I envisioned and created at the very first location in the shadows of LSU,” Rotolo said. “The new Rotolo’s Pizzeria will be a comfortable place where our customers enjoy our food and visit with family and friends. This restaurant will set the tone for the Rotolo’s brand over the next 20 years.”

Anybody got the scoop on any of the other tenants?
