Tucked away in the back of a strip mall off of Vets, Siamese Thai was run by friendly people. I just found out it is closed permanently after a 24 year run.

It looks like a new place has replaced it? Is it different people?
Siamese was by far the best Thai in Metairie.

Sad to hear that. I think Siamese was my first exposure to Thai food.

Damn, they did a very good job.
Also, their website was very well done and showed a picture of all their different dishes.
I always thought it was a bad location though.
Since it's already setup as a restaurant I wonder if something is going in there.

I loved that place. I believe their daughter runs Equator by Lakeside. Pretty good too. The place is definitely nicer and more modern.
