Wife and I are going in a few months and need some recommendations for places to eat. Not all sit down dinners as we will need some casual places for lunch. We will be doing some walking around the strip and going to see old vegas as well.

Just got back. Good luck getting anything, even fastfood, for less than $15/plate. Even fast casual will cost you $30+/person. The best thing I ate while I was there was the gyro at this little stand in that outdoor shopping mall in front of Balley's.

We also did enjoy a "tatted up" trip to motherf&%king flavortown at Guy Fieri's "flavor blasted" restaurant. It was a punch line the rest of the trip, but the food was pretty damn good.

Thought about going to Guy's place just to try a burger, but wasn't sure if it was any good.

It's expensive, as to be expected, but our group absolutely raved about his mac n cheese burger. Had we not been short on funds and the drunk girls in the group demanding sushi burritos, we would have gone back for another round the last night we were there. The burgers were worth a visit. I had the Motley Que sandwich which was very good, but I can get something on par with it at City Pork for half the price.

We also wanted to try the Gordon Ramsey burger joint, but we ended up going to In n Out instead, which was a disappointment to my two buddies. I had the sushi burrito across the street and it was fantastic. If I had the capital, I would open up a Jaburrito franchise in downtown BR near the IBM building and make a mint.

The Peppermill is a great place for a cheap meal. It's toward the end of the strip; closer to Wynn. It's an institution. Hash House A Go-Go is one of our go to's when we are in LV as well. Huge servings for a decent price.

If you want something nicer, Charlier Palmer Steak House runs a pre-fixed special each week. Usually around $60 for a 4-course meal WITH bottomless wine pairing.

Therapy on Freemont Street isn't a bad spot for lunch or an early dinner. The prices won't kill you and you'll get a good meal.

Really enjoyed Mon Ami Gabi in the Paris Hotel. Dinner on their patio with the Bellagio fountains in the background was nice.

You will find something just walking around Vegas.

For some of the more expensive sit down places, check them out for lunch deals. A lot of them have cheaper lunch specials and/or you can eat at the bar.
We ate at Giada's at the bar for flatbread pizzas and deserts and it was much cheaper than doing a table seating. Same thing at Mesa Grill for lunch.

I enjoyed Gordon Ramsay's BurGR

Edit: Looks like they changed the name to "Burger" now

If you're into Asian food in the least, take a bus, taxi or Uber to Chinatown. Once you're off strip where locals eat, it's far more cost effective, and Vegas' Chinatown is as authentic as you can get. Kabuto for a Jiro: Dreams of Sushi experience, or Monta for some of the most authentic ramen in the US.

wahlburgers

We must have missed each other. Was out there last weekend and tried this place bc they are about to have a presence in NOLA. Stayed in Elora just behind Planet Hollywood that has Ramsey's Burger in it. Line is a constant 45 min wait. Walburbers was a delicious substitute.

Also hit up Beer Park in front of Paris. Good burgers, decent selection of beers, and somewhat nice talent for servers. Check out Sin City Brewing! The best Amber and Heff I had out there!

Lotus of Siam was the best meal I had in Vegas. Hole in the wall in a strip mall, but well worth the adventure
