I wouldn't suggest Domenica for this. It's not romantic and it gets pretty loud.

I 2nd the recommendation for Le Foret.

I went to Arnaud's about a month ago and it was mediocre and VERY expensive.

No on Arnaud's.

If Domenica is a no, Le Foret gets good buzz here.

Isn't Red Gravy down the street? I've never been but I think it's well thought of here.

MILA is across the street from Roosevelt.

I went to Le Foret the night I was engaged. Excellent restaurant and VERY romantic IMO.

It might be on the outer edge of your price range.

I recommend Le Foret as well. I was going to put it in my first post but I was having a brain fart and couldn't remember the name.

Red Gravy isn't a good choice for this.

I don't know that you're going to accomplish your price point unless you hit up a restaurant with a fixed price for 3 courses, but take a look at Herbsaint. It's not far and isn't large.

Thanks to everyone for the help. Best board on TD hands down! I'll update when this goes down next month.

OT Answer:

Tell your gf you want a sandwich. If she goes to make it, when she comes back be down on one knee. If she tells you to go make it yourself, go return ring or pawn it.
