The no chicken, meat and pork won't be that difficult.

This would kill me. Could not do it.

I appreciate your discipline.

Yeah, I bet! I'm one of those meat & potatoes kind of girls. If I don't have some kind of meat, daily, I feel like I haven't eaten. I couldn't be a vegetarian, even for Lent. Hope God understands; He made me this way !!!

I'm not even religious. Just an experiment to see if I can do it. I'm trying to fast during the day as well. My awesome lunch for this fine Friday is water.

Whoaa hold on a second..

You gave up seafood for Lent in the middle of crawfish season...

Some serious Penance there buddy...

Laugh as you may but I just gave Hambugers (and all fast food, which I rarely eat anyway) the boot for 40 days myself

I might could give everything else a run, but crawfish season is only a few months.

Exceptions should be allowed.

I did give up drinking for lent a few years back with the small exception of
* Beer for crawfish boils...

I think we need to ask the next Pope about this.

Mine's iced coffee, but I was starving around 10:00 this morning, so I had some beef jerky.

What is the purpose/meaning of no meat on Fridays during lent? I don't get it (I'm Jewish).
