I went with KFC... fricking terrible!!! The sides were good but their chicken is garbage. I questioned if it was cooked!

Same here. I have to laugh at the Popeye's homerism. I do like the spicy Popeye's chicken though and love the fact that you can get jambalaya at some locations. However, KFC original recipe is just as good. Of course, I only order drumsticks/legs when I get fried chicken and it's harder to screw that up regardless of where you get it.

Popeye's red beans and rice is the best fast food side item.

When I was in Rocks Springs, Wyoming I had immediately dismissed the food culture as being terrible when I learned that a Popeye's closed down while the KFC/Long John Silver's combo was one of the busiest places in town.
The Popeye's was replaced by this shitty BBQ chain
