Pop-a-Licious now open in Lafayette

I just stumbled across this article and am sort of scratching my head on this one. I could see flavored popcorn being a part of a candy shop or something of the likes, but an establishment that only sells only popcorn? Is there a popcorn market outside from movie theaters? Do they sell other things? The rent can't be cheap at that location either.

That seems like a lot of space for what the product is. Not sure if they expect to fill up those chairs with popcorn munchers checking out the tv. Has anyone in Lafayette been there yet? As always, I hope and wish that new eateries and different concepts succeed, but I'm skeptical of this venture. Is Lafayette ready for gourmet grape popcorn? Anyone check this place out yet?

Popcorn stores belong in a mall not a free standing building.
Also, I thought you were trying to say wok-o-licious is open. I am curious about that place.

In other news, Fogo de Chao opens next week in New Orleans.

That is one sad looking shop.
Some of the flavors sound good, but they've already lost me with Boil Crawfish. Either call it Boiled Crawfish or Crawfish Boil, but Boil Crawfish sounds ignernt.
But that's just me.

I wish them the best also, but it's hard to imagine making a profit on that...
Maybe someone's wife's great idea and she will be sitting up there 12 hours a day for 3 months?

I know of two free standing popcorn only stores in BR. Must do ok. The popcorn isn't cheap.
