Well that goes without saying. I'm not talking about those who actually are better.

They are restructuring the corporation apart from its parent ownership.

Yeah. They aren't closing. Just being spun off separately.

Red Lobster will still be around.

I don't mind people in non-seafood areas eating RL but I have never understood the full parking lot in areas that have real seafood and for about the same exact price.

Some people just are not that into food and are very easy to please. This does not make them trashy. You have tons of wealthy people that are perfectly content eating at chains. I think it mainly boils down to name recognition and knowing what they are getting.

Right.

Where was this stated?

So if most people dining at RL don't care about food much, who cares if they closed?

Certainly you've seen other places that serve similar style of food. Is RL unique in any specific way?

I have zero problem with chains. I am usually the one being ridiculed by RR and his posse, but when it comes to any city with real fresh seafood, I don't see why anyone would pick a RL.

As stated for about the same price you can get better quality.

Them cheddar biscuits must have some crack in them.

Really???

A constant theme on this board is that people that eat at chains are trashy.

fify

with the abundance of reasonably priced fresh seafood being readily available in the Gulf South, it's pretty understandable to give a Gag Guy to Red Lobster when better, fresh food can be obtained at a gas station.

Kinda like eating at Subway in New Orleans, home of some of the greatest po-boys on the planet.

I agree, but If a person enjoys eating at Red Lobster or Applebees it doesn't make me a better person than them.

No it doesn't, but if that person comes to a food board to make the claim that RL is great food, that person is a moron at best, troll at worst.

I think this happens a lot with threads that are moved from other boards. Most people know better than to come to the F&DB to chronicle their experience at Captain D's.

Am I serious about requesting that you provide some evidence to your arbitrary claims? Yes, I am.
