This was always secretly the best dish at the place. Used to serve it with these killer riced potatoes.

This is what I remember about Pinetta's. It rocked. I haven't eaten there in over twenty years, I suppose, but that dish was great.

I most certainly am not. You even argued with people that Melting Pot was one of the better restaurants in BR until they shot you down. I remember it because I made sure not to take advice from someone who feels that way.

BOOM.

Oh and Pinetta's isn't so bad. I prefer Digulio's but I can do Pinetta's. I always eat with my fork in my left hand and a rolled up newspaper in my right to swat the roaches.

Why is Loubacca being a complete DOUCHE? He has had nothing relevant to add, to a food discussion, except to tear another poster down.

I have been several times, mostly because it opened early and my parents would take me there before baseball games. The food is good but not great. Definitely not on the Gino's level. I have never noticed it being dirty or anything but I guess it is dark so you can't tell.

Thoughts from this thread:

-Pinetta's is the best/worst restaurant in BR
-BigAlBR is the biggest dick on the F/D Board (but his posts do make me lol on occassion)
-LL likes me so she is good people
-Cable Guy said Melting Pot was a top 10 restaurant in BR (then backtracked to most expensive)

I haven't been to Pinettas yet, so no opinion from me. This
thread has me intrigued.

Also, if a F/D thread goes to 4 pages, you can bank on an
efight

Edit: I love Monjuni's. Love the sweet sauce but also get their non sweet sauce as well. Shrimp Aurora FTW

All I did was state the obvious. LL has very strong opinions about everything, and if she backs them up, it's with some crappy story about her adventures in a Gulf Shores restaurant. Forgive me for stating the obvious. Now GFY

Pinetta's is one of my favorite restaurants in Baton Rouge and I prefer it hands down over Gino's. I've tried Gino's three different times now and everytime me and my girlfriend have walked away thinking, "meh". Maison Lacour is another story.

I really do wish that they would wipe down the restaurant though, you would think the board of health would have come down on them hard already.

Am I that predictable?

Did I mention that normally within thirty minutes of eating there I absolutely HAVE to be home otherwise it is certainly a fecal fiasco.

I've been curious, Martini, how often do you afford yourself to experience the pleasure of dining at Pinetta's?

Lets see...I've been twice since football season. I prefer Digulios. Why would it matter?

Just sheer curiousity, no other reason really.

Thanks.

I think I said in the thread already, I've only been there once since the Bubolas left. I was with a group, and the service was really bad. That's about all I remember. Although, from what I recall, it actually seemed not quite as dark in the place as it used to be. That had to have been 4 or 5 years ago.

And, just because I was a tiny bit curious, doesn't mean I was looking to be amused by your personal dining-out timetable.

Interesting. I've never eaten anywhere in Gulf Shores to my memory.

Look, I'm not trying to start shite with you, but just because I don't like something, it's not an excuse to come into a thread being a douche. You know nothing about me, and if you don't think what you said to me was rude, you're blind.

New owners after the Bubola's sold it and it is still good. Wish they still did the pizza that they did when I was 6 years old going there. Good stuff! The Lasagna is the best.
