I've only eaten there once since old lady Bubola died, and the family moved back to Italy.

Wasn't overly impressed.

Nice memory (or stalking ability or computer logs) But you're taking my quote out of context. That's for another day though, I was just enjoying his very funny comment.

I am confused. I've been on the OT for over a year. I'm not offended. I am old enough to vote. And I don't see how someone can just say something to a person they've never addressed in their life because they think a restaurant is gross..

And you've never been a dick on here either. wtf?

I most certainly am not. You even argued with people that Melting Pot was one of the better restaurants in BR until they shot you down. I remember it because I made sure not to take advice from someone who feels that way.

Well not to me in any regards. People on this board GENERALLY aren't like the OT-tards which is why I frequent here.

or the fact that you have such strong opinions about everything but demonstrate such little knowledge of food on a daily basis

Ok I don't want to stoop to the level of an e-argument but here's the simple breakdown. I stated that I worked there for a couple of years. I also stated that it's one of the more expensive restaraunts in BR (meaning one of the nicest.) I further conceded that the food is way overpriced and I personally would not eat there unless I had my employee discount. Oh yeah, chicks dig that joint.

Little knowledge of food?
I am no pro which is precisely why you don't see me in threads for complicated dishes to be made at home. I've never once tried to discuss something I know nothing about.
Restaurants? If I've been some place, my opinion is just as valid as everyone else's.

I have strong opinions, yes. Nothing wrong with that.

Thin skin or not, I don't understand why people decide to be complete pricks to someone who said nothing to them just because they're on the internet. Does being rude to a girl online make one feel tough? I don't get it.
It was the main reason I've come to the food board moreso than the OT lately.

I didn't know this was going to be a showdown when I clicked this thread.
A lot of people give pinetta's shite on here. Pinetta's is a european restaurant and not strictly italian like digulios ginos, etc. Their european foods like schnitzel are good. I didn't think their italian foods were bad, they were just different the the other italian places. They have a good beer/wine selection and reasonable prices. Like others said, it's not the place for a quick bite and their appetizers leave something to be desired. It is one of the few places in BR that have a good date atmosphere. People always say it's extremely dirty, but I have never seen anything that leads me to think that it is. Service can be slow if you get the wrong waiter. I would encourage you to give it a try and ignore the haters. You might actually find that it's a good spot for an occasional dinner.

I wasn't referring to my sex. I mean being rude to a person at all via the internet.

well i was just taking it for face value when you said being mean to a girl on the internet. FWIW i don't know about your food preferences or think your opinions are crap. Just think that your views/knowledge of food are completely independent of your sex, and no one who bashed you had said anything about your sex prior to you mentioning it.

I find it interesting that this argument lasted longer than the original thread I dug up!
