It looks like that shopping center next to the bulldog.

Replaced Thai Kitchen in the shopping center next to the Bulldog. Apparently Todd Graves (Cane's) is a part owner. LINK

Place looks rather small from the pictures. Will anything distinguish it from other seafood restaurants in BR?

No they'd rather post a pic and a link to the website rather than go and give us a review.

I was there for the game Saturday. All I had was chargrilled oysters and a few drinks. Both were good

Why did it close in the first place if BR folks think it's so great?

Owner was in bad health and his kids were probably too young to take over at the time.

For some reason they decided to move from Government street to spot off of College Drive that had previously been the home to several failed restaurants.

I forgot about that part too. Ironically, that is where thai kitchen moved and I haven't thought about thai Kitchen until you just mentioned that location.

so good! I enjoy their new location more for some reason. I am guessing they just have loyal customers because they always have people dining there.

The chargrilled oysters were the item I was most curious about. Glad to know they were good.

I agree that it looks smaller than it was at the most recent location. Is that the case and how was for a game watching location? Many TV's?

Trout Bandit, I don't know what your deal is, but the place officially opened yesterday, so no, I haven't been and since I don't live in BR, it'll probably be a while before I'm there to try it. This is a food board. People post about restaurant openings even when they haven't been. I just happened to see something on it opening yesterday and I posted about it. It's not unusual.

There was a thread on the prospective opening by someone else in July. I believe it was mentioned that the last location closed some years ago due to the owner being ill. He died some 5 months later. I don't know why no family took over at the time, but it was mentioned that at least one of them was pretty young at that time. I think there may be something about that on the About page of the website. I read it either there or on Facebook, I suspect.

Backroom card games.

Plus both sons will do whatever is necessary to make sure the restaurant sets and maintains a standard that won't be deviated from.
