SIL has a Pit Boss, his friend has a Camp Chef, (both love them, and SIL has cooked some good stuff on his so far.) And reading reviews, Traeger looks like a great one (unless you have a problem, then customer service is horrible). RecTeq has a lot of good reviews.

Please give me some anecdotal reviews from personal experience. I will add that I like the Camp Chef Sidekick idea, to have that gas griddle for doing extras, since I already have a burner for homebrewing and fish fry/low country boil type cooking with 2 LP tanks. Just need to slide my extra tank over and hook up the line.

I have a Weber Smokefire and I do not recommend. When it works, the results are amazing, but I’ve had too many issues.

A lot of the guys in here swear by Rec-Tec and they have great reviews. There are so many options now.

My pitboss has become a huge pain in the arse. At first it was great but now the pellet motor will not stop feeding the pellets to fast. It chokes the fire and forces me to take out all the grill grates and unclog the center

Any issues with the WiFi on the rec tec 700? My uncle has one and likes it a lot other than his loses WiFi connection frequently. I think the problem is his WiFi network though. I’m thinking about upgrading from my oldTraeger to a rec tec.

I have a Recteq Bullseye that I absolutely love. I cook on it 4 or 5 times a week. I had a big pit boss that did OK but wasn't as good of a grill as the RecTeq. It's just me and my wife so a 22 inch kettle grill is the perfect size. I've done full briskets on it no issue at all. Gets to temp in about 10 or 15 minutes.

I've had a Rectec 340 for a couple years now, not one single issue. Still fires up immediately and holds temp well, just gotta keep it reasonably clean. If it broke tomorrow I'd buy another one.

Check out Grilla Grills. I bought one over Rec Tec and do not regret it. I have some friends who do competitions a lot and turned me on to them.

my father has a camp chef and loves it. Most here seem to like camp chef or rec teq. My buddy loves his rec teq.

They have better than those 2 but they get stupid expensive from my research.

I personally am going to buy a camp chef early spring.

Have a rec tec 700 and couldn't be happier with it. Do everything on it. I have some grill grates that I use for steakes etc if I don't want to use my PK grill. No issues with Wifi.

I have a camp chef and love it. And if you are worried about smoke level, get a smoke tube. With that, you can over smoke your meat honestly

Gravity 800 over this one so you get the griddle, they have been going on sale lately. 1050 has had some killer deals out there.

I like my 1050, I think I'd still get it over the 800 and just get my own griddle so I can have the space of the 1050.

One of my good friends swears by his RecTec but i have no hands on experience.

Could this be modified for a rotisserie?
