I was at the Varsity recently for a show and noticed they had a bottle of pappy 10yr old. I payed the $18 and got a glass. I have heard and read many stories of greatness of pappy. OVERRATED in my book. I will stick Basil Hayden.

it's just jim beam aged 1 yr longer and in a fancier bottle. bourbon people are easily fooled.

I'm did a side by side with 10yr and TW Samuels. Practically the same exact shite.

i am not a Beam fan at all and i know the bottle Basil Hayden and that always throws me off.

ironic this thread was started today because Bilj's thread had me thinking….the difference in taste between jim beam and a pappy 23 makes the price difference blow my mind.
it's like paying 20 bucks for a case of bud light then paying over a grand for a 4-pack of Ghost
