Nola.com's "Best Fried Chicken" competition is a joke.

Look at this motley krewe of judges.
I respect Mr. Price, but this is ludicrous. They all look vanila. They probably enjoy the fried chicken at Piccadilly.
I will never acknowledge their "winner."

I'm white and drive 20 miles out of my way to Saucier MS for good fried chicken. I could judge the heck out of it.
Not too gummy
Not too dry
Batter stays on but isn't caked
Perfectly spiced where the spice doesn't steal the show.

Meh, I think the places are good(except for Popeyes). Don't know anything about the judges.
Porter and Luke's in Metairie has a damn fine friend chicken.

Wow, really? If Popeye's is the best in the city that's pretty sad. No mention of McHardy's either?
