Wanted to tap the F&D board for a recommendation on where to try tonight. Plans got shifted so currently have no reservation.
What restaurants would be good to just go early that don't take reservations? Jacques-Imo's type.

I would avoid the quarter tonight. It's going to be a mad house.
You could try Martinique. They have a "courtyard" area that may be perfect tonight(weather permitting).
