The wife and I are making our way to New Orleans on Sunday and staying through Tuesday. We are definitely staying at Hotel Monteleone and going to the Saints game on MNF. However, our plans in between are up in the air.

I know Mr. B's is very close to the hotel and my wife likes a good steak (not tube, no pics) so we may end up over there for a dinner. However, I'd still like a lunch spot on Monday (Luke?) and a breakfast/brunch spot on Tuesday morning before we head back to BR.

Any suggestions?

This is what we decided:

Dinner at Doris Metropolitan on Sunday Night
Breakfast at Rib Room on Monday morning
Harrah's for a bit
Late lunch at Peche
MNF ( )
Pass out

Go home next day

Avoid Mr B's. while the food is good, there are many better options. Take a spin on the Carousel before dinner and then head to any of the following:
Herbsaint
Boucherie
LPG
Sylvain
Toup's

Or any other place that other board members post.

Been there. Would probably not go back for dinner.

These two are definitely intriguing.

Just checked it out. Menu looks good; simple yet tasteful. We may give this place a try.

Thanks, fatty.

French Quarter across the street from Sylvain.

Sylvain is my favorite FQ spot now, but if your wife does like steak, DM is a badass steakhouse.

Don't get me wrong...It was a fantastic lunch. I'm just looking for something with a little bit more upscale environment.

I wouldn't go out of my way for Toups either if you're staying in the FQ.

I'll second the Sylvain rec
