Had the KitchenAid Architect before Katrina and really liked it. Got another after Katrina and was just as happy. Had pretty good experiences with their customer service, too.

to say that it heated up better than the electric POS i had in there prior too is an understatement. now i just need to figure out how to cook in a convection oven...

Man... Cooked some snapper last night and now I know why I could never get my crust right! Damn electric top.... Sorry, no pics as it was the wife's birthday and she started eating before I sat down.
Seriously though, this is a nice range. Heats up quick, oven prolly takes a little longer than I thought to hear up, but I think that's b/c I'm literally watching it like a hawk.
Only that is a tad annoying is that there is a function on the stove that ask if you want to use to convection conversion set up on the oven. Basically you put in your normal oven time and temp and it converts it to the correct convection numbers. Not sure if you can disable it and just pull up if needed.

Looks great! Sounds like you're enjoying using it. I remember going from electric to gas with the first stovetop...a whole new better world. I only have the stovetop, so I don't know anything about the oven. I love the cooktop, though.

Thanks!
Kind of liked that wok attachment that you could flip over and was on last years model.... They don't have it on this one, but I guess one of the rings would work. I assume I could find a cast iron one to fit on the grate. Been wanting to get a hand hammered wok....

I haven't looked into any wok cooking. I'm sure you'll find a way to do that with a ring or some other way. So fun to get new kitchen equipment!
