From what I recall they were only a small brewery with beers in bombers available in the BR area. Their brewery was located somewhere around Jackson, LA. This was early 90s, so I guess they picked up and opened a brewpub in LC. I wasn't aware.

I still have a glass from them with their woodpecker logo. I need to find it.

They started in Jackson, had a good run, even sold at The Chimes, then moved to LC and opened a pizza joint. American Ale, Scottish Ale and ESB.

They did 12 ounce bottles... I have one at home somewhere.

Also have an old 12 ounce Day's Brewing bottle... I think they were in Marrero?

Rikenjaks was a fun place. They would have live bands and made decent pizza. The best place to get craft beer was Albertsons on Country Club Rd and the selection was Sam Adams, Chimay, Shiner, Unibroue and SN. Rikenjaks even sold growlers which caused a bit of a stir with the local city ordinances.
