I have had a bunch of friends who have worked at Dogwood through the years so I met him through mutual friends but I do see him at the bar when I occasionally make it over there. Turns out he knows my cousins and my uncle really well. Small world.

Come visit, Walt! We'll show you a good time

The ladies room is AWESOME. There's shag carpet all the way up the walls and a stripper pole in the middle

For a brunch, hit Curra's. That avocado margarita and the huevos curra's will kill any hangover you have.

Is it better to reserve a table at Dogwood?

I've only known one Sim and he was from Baton Rouge. We went to middle school together. That would be crazy if it was him.

It's a bar so I'm not even sure you CAN. If you're there at dinnertime, it shouldn't be packed so you likely won't have much of a problem...there are a few booths and some picnic tables outside but it's mostly just 2 bars and some cocktail tables.

As for your Friday lunch, where are you staying? That will narrow down your options a little bit.

A condo on 4th. There appears to be a sports bar right by it, possibly in a hotel. I def don't wanna stray too far by myself from the condo

Do u live in Austin? If so, any good bands worth checking out?

What's the reason for the trip? Just a friend trip or more of a bachelorette type of thing? What's your budget for dinner Friday night?

May be the part of Austin I refer to as Dallas. Easy Tiger is an easy walk....good sandwiches there.

Easy Tiger has their bakery/to go place at street level. Walk downstairs to the bar area that has seats/ tables inside but outside is a nice court yard. And Austin is not a bad place crime wise. It actually has a very low crime rate......It's no NOLA.
