Victorinox (40520) - 8" Black Fibrox® Chef's Knife
Just over $30. If you don't have one for yourself, you should go ahead and add two to the cart since the shipping is the same for two.
Best knife for the price and it's not close.

Where can I find this for $30?
Sam's Club usually has th3 6qts about this price. I bought mine for about $40 something at Borque's in Port Barre. It's a 9qt.

I just bought that...weird. $16 on amazon. Bayou Classic brand. I had an injector mishap the night before thanksgiving and got pissed and ordered a stainless one that night.

I would put together some quality kitchen tools. A lot of people have old or deficient kitchen tools. For example, check to see if they have:
1. Good tongs
2. Good garlic press
3. Good wine corkscrew
4. Sharp apple slicer (that round thing with the spokes that cut)
Just go to a kitchen store and look for things they don't have or that might be appropriate.

Microplane graters--the larger, cheese size as well as the smaller spice sizes.
