Toasted bread with mayo. Not too much. Not too little.

Some lettuce and fresh basil.

Tomato from the garden and fresh cracked pepper.

2 strips of bacon.

Simple and perfect.

I could eat this every night during tomato season.

Whatcha got that tops this?

Well, I would use Hellman's, so there's that.

While that would be a good choice, too...

We don't have Hellmans in Oregon.

All I'd add is salt to what you have there, directly on the tomato.

I did. I forgot to mention it because you can't see it in the photo.

You say triple the bacon.

I say grab 4 more slices of bread and make two more sandwiches.

Found this secret when I had to move to CA years ago

Best Foods = Hellmans

For some reason west of the Rockies it is labeled as Best Foods. It is on the label.

Just looked at the picture and saw you used Best Foods so you did "bring out the best".

I'm with you. I used to be a "triple the bacon" guy, but as I've grown older and wiser, I appreciate the subtle difference that the perfect ratio of ingredients makes.

I'm betting that not a damn one of you can tell the difference between Hellman's, Blue Plate, or Best Foods on a BLT in a blind taste test.

ETA: Because of the earlier post, I looked it up, and Best Foods and Hellmann's are the same damn thing.
