market is a bitch and he just alienated half of his possible customers by being a bitch.

I will never understand why somebody would do that

Because he is a dumbass with a stupid laugh. You made the point of half. It is all half so he should just shut his mouth and may he goes from 50 to 60 or 70.

He just went below 50 and he better hope that 50% will sustain him.

Oh..frick him and just because of his laugh and lame cooking. My kid cooks better.

He's getting hammered on his Facebook page . Lesson learned, maybe. I bet sales drop in the next month...and the Pubs come to town...but many will boycott his dumb arse. He needs a PR pro with the quickness.

So does this mean that if the Rev Al Sharpton creeped him out that he could ban him also ? Because we would all love to see the outcome of that decision. Simon is a terrific chef and I have always enjoyed his personality on tv but I just can't go with this.

His "Cook Like An Iron Chef" show was excellent, but not crappy enough to stay on TV . I was gonna hit Lola one day...not now.

I always thought he was a pompous a-hole. He's completely out of touch with reality, afaic, and has proven that with his statement.

Also, he sucked as an iron chef. Morimoto destroyed him. GFY Michael symon.

Hey, Symon is a good guy. Working class family, passionate about sports and his businesses, does great things in CLE. That being said, not the smartest thing to say to any media. Although it does sound like him chatting over a couple brews.

Symon's just trying to keep the trash that will be in Cleveland for a week out of his restaurant. I wouldn't want that many Walmart mouth breathers in my business either. Sounds like a sound business decision to me. No different than the businesses "closing for renovations" during Essence Fest. The only thing that would've made it better is if he would've banned Hillary too.

If it's one of his upscale places I don't think any trash would be going there anyway

His call, his business. I don't blame him for not wanting some mad arse old white people in there. There are a lot more people turned off by Trump than those voting for him.

You guys take politics way too personally. I know a few chefs myself, many of them liberals. I'm sure a lot of you have eaten food from their kitchens

I don't care what his political views are, as long as the food, price, and atmosphere of his restaurant are the quality I would expect. I agree this is an EXTREMELY odd move though. Hopefully he will release a statement soon to add a little clarity to the situation.

That's all I want. Other than helping some inner city kids and running a charity or two, I don't want them to say shite.

So all "celebrities" are relevant? Particularly a chef in Cleveland?

Just put out quality food and STFU. Noboby cares about his political opinions.
