I JUST picked up a $50 gift cert for $12.50 for the Marigny Brasserie.

Should I use it for brunch or dinner? What's good here?

I can't ever judge the place because it sounds like they change chefs and menu concepts once a month or so.

I have only went once and it was about 6 months ago. I thought it was overpriced and just okay food. Laughed when I saw the plate of red beans on the menu for $14.

The coupon deal seems like a great reason to go try it though and not end up wasting money.

I've had brunch there recently and it wasn't bad and nice to get a table outside. The service was awful, but nothing mimosas and bloody's couldn't help with!

There were 3 left when I got it 2 minutes before my post. (WWL) For nothing else...it was a steal! I figured the worst I could do was spend $20 on a decent brunch.

Its new phase is a neighborhood type restaurant. Sunday brunch is decent. Have not had the new dinner menu, but nothing stands out and friends who have gone recently were unimpressed.

I've never eaten there and almost went the other night, but opted for Feelings Cafe instead.

Just be sure you dress nice, comb your hair and act polite to your server. Oh, and be sure to tip on the actual price of the food, not just the discounted amount.

I got on there and there was one left. Almost about to enter my cc info and I see the restrictions tab to my disappointment. $12.50 for a $50 meal was gonna be nice.

im a sucker for drinks with fresh fruit juice in them, but tell them to go easy on the simple syrup. every drink i had at the bar was too sweet. i think we got apps there, they were hit and miss. i liked the nola bbq shirmp app. but it wasnt anything out of the ordinary. their bruchetta was crappy.

ETA: if the restrictions allow you to purchase alcohol, just get a round of drinks one night before going to blue nile or some other music spot down the way.
