Walk across the street and just pick something else - seriously.

What would be the reason to go there?

If you want a burger, there are a number of better places around the corner (Port of Call, Snug Harbor, etc...).

If you want a margarita, go to El Gato Negro, also around the corner.

If you want a bar stool that is actually a tire swing, go to...ok for that you may have to go to Margaritaville.

But generally speaking, there's just no good reason to go there.

I mean no disrespect to Jimmy. I have a Tin Cup Chalice in my bar at home.

+1

There is or use to be a place on the corner with in view of margaritaville. I always got the pasta dish with shrimp & sauteed oysters in a creole sauce. Sorry I don't remember the name.

The M.Ville gift shop has some cute stuff though

COOPS PLACE! And their food is 1000000 times better than anything you'll get at Margaritaville. Although back when they first opened their margaritas were awesome. I second the cajun pasta at Coops...and their gumbo is excellent.

It is not horrible are anything. Actually is above the Landry's, Bubba Gump, Hard Rock kind of places.
Go get a drink and a burger and check it out.

I am pretty sure that his is the only restaurant that Jimmy still has control over and is not run by the corporate entity folks. They were very good to their employees after Katrina.
