I'm not a big King Cake fan, but I love the mix of bacon/pork and maple. My Dad used to give us all a tiny dish of warm maple syrup in which to dip our bacon on special days. It's so darn good. However, I had some sort of bacon cookie concoction at Cochon out of curiosity. It was blah. Cured my curiosity about bacon in cookies, cakes, cupcakes and the like. I do like it in a bacon cheese scone I get at Central Market. It's only a bit detectable, though.
