If you want to do bbq, I would recommend Jack Stack or Joe's in KC. They both do mail-order and are the two I would go with over anyone else in KC. If he's never had legit burnt ends then I'm sure he would go crazy over them...

The people using the grill before us at the beach this past week had ribs overnighted from Rendezvous BBQ in Memphis and they looked and smelled outstanding.

quail poppers. A quail breast inside of a jalapeno wrapped in bacon. I always cook for company and everyone loves them.

They are out of stock so ask to be put on a list when more come in.

They come 4 to a skewer, I take them off and put in a tooth pick in each one. It makes it easier to cook.
