Wouldn't have suggested Muriel's for this.

And, he's got his reception there, smarty pants.

This is a before the rehearsal dinner deal on the same day?

Dickie Brennan has new place opening right on Jackson Square. I think it is called Tableau(its at Le Petite Theatre). This place is supposed to have some private party areas.

You might could also handle this with Antoines since they have alot of small dining rooms and such.

no, no. Sounds like this is after the rehearsal. Instead of a sit down dinner, he wants a reception.

Who's the winner, op????????????

What are you drinking?

He said the RD would be in the FQ and they didn't have a place yet. He said the reception is at Muriel's.

What I don't understand is having a reception before the RD. Are these folks not attending the RD? Are the same folks going to the RD going to the reception and then the RD? Is this some kind of Bammer concoction?

If this is after the RD, then it better be a place open late?

I am so confused right now I'm feeling light-headed. OP needs to clarify. So you're saying:

Friday night: RD @ ?
Friday night after RD: what he's asking about in this thread
Saturday: wedding
Saturday night: reception @ Muriel's

right?

So, you aren't having a rehearsal dinner? You're having a reception with booze and horse devores only or are you having this for just the out of town guests and the rest of you will be off for a rehearsal dinner somewhere yet to be decided?

Are you going to be attending the booze and horse devore event?

This is a bammer trying to ask a question. Enough said, but in the interest of good manners, we will try to help anyway IF we can figure out exactly what he's looking for. Not sure that's possible.

So, you aren't having a rehearsal dinner?

not sure yet.. and the reason for this is that we aren't having an actual rehearsal since it's a super simple ceremony.. and everyone is an out of towner..

It sure took a lot to get to this when you said earlier the RD would be in the FQ at a place yet determined.

Okay, we need a post rehearsal cocktail party place, not too formal for 30-35 folks or so. Money is an object. Right?

You could look into the Napoleon House. They do that sort of thing upstairs.

Arnaud's would probably do something like that.

Antoine's was already mentioned.

I think the Bourbon House does receptions upstairs.
