Probably only need room for 35-50 people and we're interested in booze and appetizers/hor dourves..
There are obviously a ton of places in the city and I figured you clowns would prolly have some good suggestions..
Thanks all..

yeah... doesn't have to be formal.. we're envisioning a "welcome to nola" reception for out of town guests, essentially...

Buddy of mine had his upstairs at Palace Cafe. Plenty of room for your amount of people. Food and Drinks were good.
What is your price range and what part of the city are you wanting?

wedding will be in the quarter and most folks will be staying there or the CBD, i'd imagine..
price wouldn't be the biggest factor..

While I'm not a Palace Cafe fan, this is an excellent suggestion. Upstairs can easily accommodate that.

Check at Muriels.
Also, for something more casual, Lucy's in the Warehouse District(not far from CBD) has a little upstairs party area that they will cater.
