Passing through this afternoon, no time to venture to Scott. Is there anywhere not too far off the 90/49 corridore that has good cracklin?

Billy's in Opelousas are very good. Get the "seasoned " ones.

quite a few choices for cracklins
Legnon's Boucherie is in NI on Jefferson Terrace
Herbert's West side of Hwy 90 (Broussard) frontage road at Albertson's Pkwy (by Sonic)
as noted above ; Chopsin Broussard off Albertson's Pkwy ... 1/5 mile on Right
original Don's location Exit 4 off I49 - Carencro
Billy's in Opelousas is 2 blocks off I49

Just up the road from New Iberia in Broussard is Billeaud's. Their cracklins are pretty dang good. Their boudin is my favorite. And it's about 2 minutes off of 49.

Put me in for Billeaud's, both cracklin and boudin. I like the boudin from Chop's, too, but I've never tasted their cracklin.
