Driving to Rouses last night I saw something new opened up on Julia near St. Charles. Tried to catch the name on the sign but can't really recall ... maybe Cavista?

Haven't been so not sure if good.

Went here for lunch yesterday. The menu is quite small, especially compared to somewhere like Rum House or even Juan's. I got the carnitas taco, shredded brisket and the specialty cochon de mexicana taco. Everything was pretty good especially the two pork ones. They give you a choice of corn or flour tortillas (I chose corn, obviously) and they are simply topped with onion and cilantro. They have additions like cabbage, avocado, sour cream, cheese *machego is the only one they have* and ancho crema which I got. I'll be back .. the flavors were solid just need to work on their logistics a bit. Kitchen ran pretty slow as I think they had only one person cooking The pork & sweet potato quesadilla app sounds good so I think I'll try that and their chips + guac next time.

Rio mar was said and I agree. One of the least recommended places in CBD. I've had some really good meals there.
