Doing some research..have never been to this area and we'll be playing baseball down there this weekend. Seems like being in the NASA area they may have something.

TIA!

Saloon Door Brewing

Any good as far as beer goes? See that nearby.

Looks nice as far as a little local brewery goes

They're a small operation and the guys are super nice. If they have Tasty AF on, get it. It won the Houston craft beer bracket this last year.

Nobi has the best beer selection on the Southside. You'll be set.

Nice, sounds like we'll be grabbing a bite after doing NASA tour Friday morning before checking into our hotel. Then heading out to stros game.

Just was looking for some spots here and there to possibly hit that's not chain stuff.

I think Sat night we'll bring the kids to Dave and Busters, but love finding stuff local to hit up instead of the chains

Are you bringing kids and will need suggestions that include them?

Best "nice" restaurants are Perrys, Merlion, and Tommy's Oyster bar.

If you're playing ball with the kids and need a place to bring all of them: Red River BBQ is a pretty good spot in League City. Torchy's Taco's is right down the street in Clear Lake. La Brisa (Mexican) and Bubba's Shrimp House (not Bubba Gump) are not even two miles from the ball park and good for groups. And every type of kid friendly chain you can imagine is in Clear Lake and at Baybrook mall.

The ballpark is on 96, so you can also get to Kemah in less than 20 minutes. T-Bone Toms is there (Of DD&D fame), and my favorite little hidden gem Bakkus is there. Plus every Landry's restaurant property that exist. THe boardwalk is good for kids, but just a giant Landry's advertisement otherwise.

The Main Event is also right there. Not as many arcade games, but lots of other stuff.

Monument Inn is a favorite of mine on the Channel...granted there isn't a whole lot to choose from.

There is one by my office. I like them a lot. Better Kolache factory, imo. (not that hard)

its pretty meh. I work right by there.

Stripes or one of the many taco trucks are the best food options around. Ladero Taco is criminally underrated as a gas station food.

Saloon Door has good beer but lousy food unless they have gotten better in the last couple of months.

J.Henry's up on Clear Lake City Blvd is a good beer place as is Yardhouse in the Baybrook Mall. Sam's Boat on NASA rd is a good sports bar with lots of beers and good burgers.
