I will be at a family wedding in Lacombe this weekend. We'll be staying at a hotel near I-10 in Slidell. I would like recommendations on casual dining and drinking in the area. A good craft beer selection would a plus. Thanks.

Just mail it in and go to B.J.'s Brewhouse. They have a good beer selection, a good Pan Pizza, and good Salads. Their menu is massive and will please almost anyone.

Not sure how much time you'll have, but if you're looking to kill an afternoon you should drive east to old town Bay St Louis (25 minutes) and bounce around to a few bars and restaurants.

Not a bad idea. I was hoping for a non-chain place, but BJ's is close to the hotel.

Great idea, but I won't be able to get away.

Thanks, I will check them out online. I have never been to Lacombe or Slidell.

ETA: South Side Cafe looks like a good option.

Speckled T's also has a pretty good beer selection although I haven't been there in about a year

This was the only option....and not because it's literally the only place to eat in Lacombe.

La Provence is in Lacombe and it's probably the best restaurant in Louisiana not in NOLA.

If coming to Mandeville, should go to Barley Oak IMHO. Solid beer selection and they'll have the baseball games on plus the lake view is nice
