No link, saw it on the developing Lake Charles Facebook page.

I prefer local spots but I do love their tomato basil soup and caesar salad.

It will be in the former A-Mazen's location on prien lake rd. across from the mall.

La Madeline's is a lot better than the over-hyped Panera Bread IMO.

Havent been to Ball's in months actually, but I had a plate lunch from Hackett's today, Count. Sausage and red gravy over rice with a side of white beans and cornbread. So so good

Yeah I'll be eating lunch there one day this week.
How is La Madeline? I've never heard of it.

They used to make a mean Caesar salad but when I went a few months back, what I got was one of the worst salads I have had in years.

Good food. Can be very fatty though

Keep it light. I use to get a sandwich there and it was amazing and one day I looked it up and it had 1300 calories. The French like their rich foods

Patrick Esquerre created it, sold it years ago, the chain has been going downhill for ages. The management and quality cooks went way downhill.

The Chicken Caesar Salad and Tomato Basil, Onion Soup, Croque Monsieur etc..can be hit and miss from day to day..quality and portion.

The Sacher Torte(Esquerre uses raspberry instead of apricot jam in their recipe, because Dallas housewives liked it better) is still great.

This. We never go there anymore. It was a Dallas institution when Esquerre ran it.

Boy do I agree. And price creep has long since set it.
That said, if you like La M's tomato basil or potato soups, you can buy them at Costco in the refrigerated area near the meat cases.

La Madeline

There are some in Atlanta called La Madeleine.

Kind of a school lunch service type?
