Popped into this place for lunch today and got a bowl of brisket ramen. It was really good! It had a pho flavor underneath that I couldn't quite identify. Maybe star anise or cloves. No matter what, I would eat it again and again and again. They had a few other things on the menu but the waitress/hostess offered a recommendation for this one or the huxta ramen which was a creamier broth with ground pork. This brisket ramen was a thin yet very flavorful broth with roasted peppers, mushrooms, and asparagus (which had a great flame broiled flavor).

The inside is very small but clean. Great for an intimate date or lunch with a friend. Wouldn't be so hot for a party of 4-6 but they did have one table that could seat 8-10. The building itself is not impressive from the outside.

Try it.

We went Friday night. It is actually shared seating as far as the table goes. THere were 4 different parties and we all shared a big table. Food was good but not intimate when you are sitting directly next to strangers in packed house

Love that place. I haven't had one thing there that I wouldn't order again.

It's the only place I've had it in New Orleans that hasn't seem completely half-assed in its approach.

I tried Kin for the first time a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. I ordered the Huxta Ramen and split an order of wings that were exceptional. My only complaint was that it was a bit warm in there, especially after eating the ramen. I'm looking forward to eating here on cooler days.

I had the huxta-bowl last week, and it was a bit too rich for a disgustingly hot day. My bowl had beaucoup pork in it, but I would have preferred the brisket bowl. On my many past visits, service was friendly & efficient...but the B-team was in the house, or my waitperson had been tokin' behind the dumpster. Flaky as hell, brought us wrong drinks, wrong food, wrong check, actually tried to return someone else's credit card to us. The food is always delicious, though.

Ages ago, one of the guys told me they were looking for property uptown to do an all-ramen restaurant & return the Wash Ave location to a fine dining concept. Haven't heard any more about that.
