I haven't seen much on here about this place. Is the place still booking up? Remember a couple of early reviews saying the place was pretty good.

How's parking? Still BYOB? Will my wife's first thought be to lock the doors as we approach the restaurant only to realize that we're actually stopping and eating ?

WEnt a few weeks ago, really liked it. Place has a good idea about the food it wants to serve and as of then (say a month ago) was still BYOB, but had ATC posters in window.

Location really isnt that bad. It is sort of isolated and lots of well lit street parking.

Now, it was hot as hell in there. Even at 8 and 9 pm at night.

Very nice. It seems like I've seen a couple of different menus floating around. I suppose they have been tweaking their menu as they've progressed.

Any stand outs? Looking at one of the menus I saw I'm thinking a good pinot noir would probably fit the meal?

That's disappointing

Menu changes daily.

But they always have this guinea hen and rice dish that is pretty rich and filling.

re Wines Id go with riesling, champagne or sparkling, or rose. The food has a lot of spice, herbs, and other things going on that to me at least compete with red wines. Plus its too hot to drink red wine right now.

Re heat of place, it has no shade and just gets pounded by relentless afternoon sun. Plus exposed kitchen, old building, etc... It appears they are building out patio to add outdoor seating. Not enough to dissuade me from going back, just dress in your lightest, most breathable fabric. So leave the nice jeans at home

Figured that would be a good start and I have a couple I need to get out of the cooler.

I drink it year round, but with a hot restaurant on top of that, probably going to move away from that.

Thanks for the heads up.

Food would also do very well with beer.

I'm thinking that spritzer they have on the menu would go well with some Hendricks.

Just an update. I didn't do a picture tour...sorry FDB.

The food was very well done here. We had a great time. Still no liquor license so BYOB. It was slightly on the warm side, so BO's advice to dress for warmer temps still applied. Damn near tried the whole menu, and just about every thing delivered.

The communal table wasn't as cramped as others I've sat at. Decent distance between diners. Will be back.
