I learned the hard way too with seasoning; first time I did it I used sea salt & cracked black pepper & found them too salty. Last night I uses T-Boys garlic season all "sparingly" & it was perfect. I think I'm gonna try cinnamon & sugar next time to see if the sweet aspect works.

A friend of mine uses cinnamon and stevia (sugar) and loves them. Once I get the zesty recipe down I'll go for the sweet.

Kale chips are esp tasty sprinkled with shichimi togarashi....chili, sesame seeds, citrus, ginger, etc.
Think you left an ingredient off the list.

I'm trying to keep my job.

RE: hemp, each brand's blend is slightly different. The brand I use (I don't know what it is called, the name is written in kanji), doesn't contain hemp, but does have a few flecks of seaweed in it.

I dig kale and chard. I like leafy greens that you can do a lot of things with.
And to repeat myself , the kale sale at Houston's on st Charles is damned good

Never tried kale. Someone give me something simple to do with it tonight. Maybe just cook some in a pan with some olive oil?

Do this. Really easy. Just sprinkle some olive oil and salt on them

Yea. I hear kale soup is pretty simple as well

i cook a side of kale 3 or 4 times a week. i can't get enough.
get it at the store in a bundle. wash it well (lots of patches of very fine dirt/silt), dry it, and pull it from the stem.
i guess there's no real wrong way to cook it, but i like to toss about two big handfuls with olive oil, 375 for 8 minutes, then sprinkle with a little soy sauce instead of salt. a little soy sauce goes a long way.

Do you guys keep the kale chips in the fridge after you make them.
Posted on 3/18/14 at 6:22 pm to TigerWise
I don't. I keep them in a ziplock bag on the counter. Of course, mine are all usually consumed within a day anyway.

Threw some kale into the crawfish pot yesterday......came out pretty good. Doesn't take long......I threw it in, submerged it, and pulled it out after about a minute. Soaks up the seasoning really well.
