This guy cooked a Jambalaya and posted pics on Reddit. Gave a shout out to Tigerdroppings FB as his inspiration at the bottom of the pic page.

Damn I could devour some of that.

Last jambalaya I had was this bland pasty mixture that 4miles brought to a beer event. Had to toss my bowl into the piss bush when no one is looking

I made a big ole Jamb Wednesday night for a crew of folks that showed up to my house for the Snowpalozza. It was my best effort yet thanks to all Jamb knowledge I've gained from here. It got devoured. Perfect food for feeding a big crowd for minimal expense. But it's just not overly awesome food to me though. Not even a really good one. My least favorite of the coonass staples.

Someone from "North" Louisiana also posted pics of his process of cooking a Jambalaya.

The comments at the bottom are pretty funny.

I've always felt that way too, Balls. It isn't bad, but it is far from my favorite dish.

Yet it seems to be the main thing served at parties, tailgates, etc. I guess because it feeds so many people so easily and inexpensively.

what else would he need?

tonys has salt, pepper, cayenne, etc...

its not what I do, but I don't see how just using Tonys makes him a "shite cook"?

Tonys is bland as frick dude. it's a bullshite way to season something while you're cooking.

if someone wants to put that shite on afterwards, go for it. using it as the spice base of your dish is lazy and indicative of someone who sucks at or just doesn't care about properly seasoning his dish.

I got very little. He brought it back to Jones' house and I should have filled a little tupperware with some before he left, like HC did.

it doesn't have garlic or onion powder, it doesn't have white pepper.

those aren't needed for jambalaya?
